Miltown Malbay
Miltown Malbay is well known for the
Willie Clancy Summer School which takes place in July each year and attracts thousands of music enthusiasts from all over the world. Early booking of accommodation is
advisable. Traditional Irish Music plays an important part in this part of the country and many of the pubs have traditional music sessions all year long.
But Miltown Malbay has a lot more to offer:

sandy beaches (White Strand and
Spanish Point) ideal for swimming and
surfing ! A surf school is available in
Lahinch and Spanish Point.

the megalithic tomb on the slopes of
Slieve Callan southeast of Miltown Malbay.
Divers still try to locate the remains of the six Spanish Armada ships which were lost off this coast in September 1588.

Sightseeing
Lahinch with its famous beach, the Pool and the Aquarium, shops, restaurants and art gallery is just 10 minutes, the famous Cliffs
of Moher just 20 car minutes away. Doolin, gateway to the Aran Islands and famous for its traditional Pubs is less than half an hour away. Another sight closebye whichyou shouldn't miss is the Burren region, famous for its unique limestone landscape, its flora, its caves and the many prehistoric sites.
Fishing
Good spots for rock fishing are just around the corner. We do guided fishing tours -

Golfing
We are an ideal base: Lahinch championship course is only 10 minutes away, Greg Norman designed Doonbeg golf links course is
just 20 minutes away, and Spanish Point golf course is only 5 minutes driving time from our B & B.
